Slacking!!

Christmas really took a toll on me..Ive been really slacking on the art..but this week i will be working hard on getting some new stuff done for this artshow on the 5th..I am the featured artist and i have to fill an entire restaurant..So i have a big task on my hands..I have a total of like 13 paintings..and that just isnt enough..So be on the look out for some new SKELE joints in the near future..word up!!

So I had that show last night up in Richmond..3 bands and me with the art..It was nice to do a show outside of va beach..get some new eyes on my stuff..Sold 2 pieces while i was up there..and sold some Poly Opto Tshirts also..All in all it was a great time and worth the late night drive home..Thanks to all that came out and supported..

My friends band is playing the camel with two other va beach local bands..I will be there supporting and as always..the Poly Opto is allowing me to setup my artwork for the show..i will also have tshirts for the band..stoked on this because its an event out of va beach..Yes i know its only in richmond..but traveling is traveling..ready for a rocking good time..haha..word up

Jew Mom Art Show

So last night was the first Art show at Jew Moms in Norfolk..and for this being the first one..we had a great turn out..i think almost everyone sold a piece including myself..This area needs this sort of avenue for local artists and local folks to enjoy the culture of art and its artists..The DJ was dope..the art was dope..all around bad ass evening..next month ill be the featured artist..and i get to hang my art all around the bar for a month..really stoked on this..word up

This is personally my fave so far..I want to have atleast 40 designs ready to go by the time im ready to print..so all i have to do is pick and decide what goes first..I havent picked up a brush in over 2 weeks..This photoshop and illustrator have taken over my creative flow..

Art Show at Hangar 09

My friends band played at Hangar 09..this is a new venue for local and big time bands to play..the Poly Opto let me set my art up outside of the area where the bands were playing..I had alot of traffic during the show.. I was able to sell another painting..That makes 161 sold..pretty damn cool..Word of mouth has been one of my biggest ways to get out to the public. When the day comes where im shipping across the country, and worldwide..will be the day when my dreams will only get bigger..

Ive been involved in a couple shows with these guys..They are always willing to let me show my artwork when they play..Like me they realize that Art and Music go hand in hand. With that said, the first show that I was involved in, I did a live painting. Its one of my favorites, one that im sure that i will never sell simply for the fact of its history. The show was at the Jewish Mother, the original Jew Moms. Pretty dope. Most recently they were featured and reviewed on Veins Dried Out blog..an awesome music site!!

OCEAN VIEW 48TH ANNUAL ART SHOW

It was the first time that I ever was in a juried entry art show. It came down to the last minute, two days before the show I was voted in. When I first got there, I was definitely concerned about the amount traffic that would at least have a chance to view my style of artwork. It didn't take long for it to pick up. After hours of folks stopping in and giving opinions and thoughts on my work, I was shocked to learn that I had won first place for one of my newest pieces. Turf Fighters . It was a 24x54 canvas. After two days of grueling heat, I finished out the show with a winning piece and 6 pieces sold. Pretty amazing weekend. Thanks to those who came out and supported.

Just Love Picasso's Quotes. This quote is especially hits home. Though I think when he says "steal" he means evolve your style with what you see from others. I did exactly that. BerkVisual/Alex Pardee biggest influences in my art work. Without ever meeting Berk, i have no clue when i would've found spray cans. Alex's monsters, ahhh, made me so jealous to see what i wanted to do. But with 3 years under my belt, finding my style, I've been able to establish my self in Virginia Beach. I've currently sold 156 mind stimulating graffiti style monsters! I wont stop till I'm dead.
